Insurance whilst building

Do builders in Greece insure the property whilst it is being built ?  What if the part-finished building was damaged by earthquake—who would be liable ?

It would be imprudent of us to comment on other builders’ approach to insurance.

However, rest assured, Kefalonian Homes insures from ‘first dig’ to key-handover.  Any project is covered against public liability and building damage.  In the extremely unlikely instance of earthquake damage all costs would be borne by the insurance company.  The cost of this insurance is included in our advertised prices for building.

Please note that this cover ceases at key-handover and becomes the responsibility of the new owner. 

We are happy to arrange continued insurance protection for the new owner at very competitive rates.
