Would someone please advise me where to obtain details regarding out-of-season flights to Kefalonia from England.

Direct flights are only available via package-tour operators during the season (May-Oct inclusive).

During the winter you would need to fly via the Olympic Airways ’Island Hopper’ to Athens.  Athens to Kefalonia is about an hour’s flight. EasyJet flies daily from Athens to Gatwick and Luton.  Fares can be ridiculously cheap if you keep your eye on the internet.  There are also other ‘non-scheduled’ flights from Athens to U.K.

The major airlines (B.A., Olympic, Virgin, etc.) also fly.

Practical Tip:  Despite the advertised Olympic fares there are often huge savings to be made if you book ‘right through’.  There is also the advantage of not having to heave your luggage around at Athens airport as Olympic transfer direct to the ongoing plane.
