Animal Welfare On Kefalonia |

Could you please include a link to our new website in aid of animal welfare on Kefalonia. Our organisation is called the ‘Kefalonia Animal Trust’.
We have been operational for two years and seldom have less than 15 dogs and many cats being looked after at any one time.
We have managed to home 40 dogs in the last two years—all were vaccinated and neutered prior to being re-homed.
We have now expanded our operations to cover, amongst other things, neutering and release programmes for cats and dogs, winter feeding-stations, and liaison with the Mayor’s office and the police.

Animal welfare, or, rather, the lack of it, is a common topic of conversation amongst tourists to Greece.
Abandoned cats and dogs, poisoned or wounded, are not uncommon despite the Greek Government’s pledge to improve matters.
We applaud your efforts and have included your website address on our ‘Useful Links’ page.
